June 10, 2011 – Getting ready to visit the Jersey Shore this summer? Here’s something that might interest you: residents and tourists alike voted the beaches in Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood as the best in New Jersey for the third time in the last four years.
The three beaches in the Wildwoods have always been known for larger size, which makes it feel less crowded, but the biggest part of their appeal may be that they are free. Most other beaches along New Jersey’s coastline require beach tags that can be purchased for the season, the week, or the day.
The consensus: most of those polled believe that relaxing on the beach should be free, especially since a trip to the shore is costly enough already.
