February 3, 2014 – It’s early February, the Super Bowl is history, and the Academy Awards are about a month away. Why not celebrate February by viewing commercial free Oscar nominated and winning films all month long.
If you’re a fan of quality films old and new, Turner Classic Movies’ schedule for the 31 Days of Oscar is worth a peek. The event kicked off on Saturday night, and for the first time includes a new documentary, “And the Oscar Goes To”, which provides a behind the scenes look at everything Oscar old and new. The documentary is narrated by Anjelica Huston, features interviews with past and present nominees and winners, and is scheduled several times during the month.
The schedule features a wide selection of older films, which TCM is known for, but also includes newer films like “The Age of Innocence,” and “Philadelphia”, both from the 1990s.
Get ready, set your DVR’s, and enjoy!
